ETRONIX operates the ME Smart Control mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the application accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares.
1. Information we process
ME Smart Control may process the following information:
Account information
When users create or access an account, the application may process:
- Name
- Email address
- Password and authentication information
- Login tokens
- Password-reset information
Passwords are used only for authentication and account access.
Controller and air-conditioner information
The application may process:
- Controller device ID and registration information
- Device name and room name
- Air-conditioner power status
- Selected temperature
- Operating mode
- Fan speed
- Swing settings
- Timer and weekly schedule settings
- Online/offline status
- Connection status
- Diagnostic and error information
- Last communication or last-seen information
This information is used to register, display, monitor, and control compatible air-conditioner controller hardware.
Wi-Fi information
During controller setup, users may enter:
- Wi-Fi network name or SSID
- Wi-Fi password
This information is used to configure the selected controller through Bluetooth.
The application may save Wi-Fi setup information locally on the user’s device for setup convenience. Wi-Fi credentials are not sold or used for advertising.
Bluetooth and nearby-device information
The application uses Bluetooth to:
- Find compatible ME Smart Control hardware
- Connect to the selected controller
- Transfer Wi-Fi setup information
- Configure and diagnose the controller
On some Android versions, location permission may be required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning. ME Smart Control does not use this permission to continuously track the user’s location.
Camera information
Camera access may be used to scan supported device QR codes or registration information.
ME Smart Control does not use the camera to continuously record users and does not use camera access for advertising.
Network and technical information
The application may process:
- Internet and local-network connection status
- Controller IP or network connection information
- Device communication responses
- Application errors and diagnostic information
- Authentication and server communication status
2. How information is used
Information is used to:
- Create and authenticate user accounts
- Reset account passwords
- Register compatible controller hardware
- Connect controllers to Wi-Fi
- Provide local and remote air-conditioner control
- Display air-conditioner and controller status
- Operate timers and schedules
- Diagnose connection and controller problems
- Protect accounts and services
- Provide technical support
- Maintain and improve application reliability
3. Information sharing
ETRONIX does not sell users’ personal information.
Information may be processed by hosting, cloud, server, network, or technical service providers that are necessary to operate the application.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, security requirements, or to protect users, ETRONIX, or the service.
4. Data storage and security
ETRONIX uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect user information.
Some application information may be stored locally on the user’s device. Locally stored information can generally be removed by clearing the application’s storage or uninstalling the application.
No method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. Data retention
Account and registered-device information may be retained while the user’s account remains active.
When an account-deletion request is completed, personal information and data associated with that account will be deleted, except where limited retention is required for:
- Security
- Fraud prevention
- Legal obligations
- Dispute resolution
- Regulatory compliance
- Prevention of misuse
Anonymous information that can no longer be connected to an identifiable user may be retained for service improvement and statistical purposes.
6. Account and data deletion
Users may request deletion of their ME Smart Control account and associated information.
In the application
Open:
Menu or Settings → Account → Delete Account
Follow the displayed instructions to submit the request.
By email
Send an email to:

Delete ME Smart Control Account
Include the registered email address. Identity verification may be required before deletion to prevent unauthorised requests.
After verification, ETRONIX will process the account and associated-data deletion request within a reasonable period.
7. Children’s privacy
ME Smart Control is not directed to children under 13. The application is intended for users who operate compatible air-conditioner controller hardware.
ETRONIX does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Third-party trademarks
ME Smart Control is an independent third-party application.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially operated by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
“Mitsubishi Electric” and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when application functions, legal requirements, security practices, or data-handling practices change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
